Discovering Schubert's Die schöne Müllerin and Lieder

What if music could tell a story? During the holidays, the children will follow a young traveller, a little flowing stream and life around a mill. Through this world, they will discover several of Schubert's Lieder.

We will listen to the same music performed by different singers and musicians. A voice can sound gentle, deep, light or highly expressive; the piano can whisper, move forward like footsteps or evoke the movement of water. The children will be invited to notice these differences: is it the same song? What changes? Which version do they prefer, and why?

Musical objective
Develop musical listening skills, learn to compare different interpretations, and understand that the same score can take on very different colours depending on the performer.
